school EXPECTATIONS
Students are expected to know and follow school rules. If there is any doubt about what is allowed at school (ie: electronics, clothing, types of snacks, drinks, toys, etc) you can find the answers in the STUDENT HANDBOOK. Please keep your student handbook in a convenient place at home for quick reference. The handbook includes information about bus routes, delay schedules, attendance, dismissal procedures, childcare, PTA information, and much, much more. The link below provides a digital copy of the entire document.

procedures you should know about
GREEN FOLDERS: Students will bring a GREEN folder home every Friday. These folders will have graded work in it. Please review your child's work, grades, and the comments made on the assignments. After reviewing your child's work PLEASE sign the form attached to the folder (verifying you reviewed the graded work) and have student return the folder on Monday.
YELLOW FOLDERS: Students are expected to have a yellow folder to carry homework back and forth to school. Students MUST return this folder to school each day. Parents, please help your child build good study habits and organizational strengths. Remind your child to take his/her yellow folder to school with completed homework each day!
AGENDAS: Students are expected to purchase an agenda from the school at the beginning of the year. Every child NEEDS to have one! Once purchased, students are expected to carry this with them each day, to every class. Students will record homework assignments (on a daily basis), school events and activities, non-uniform days, etc. These notes are a means of communicating with parents the daily events of your child's school life. Teachers will write comments and notes home when there is a need to communicate with individual parents. PARENTS are expected to READ and SIGN their child's agenda on a nightly basis. If students do not have their agenda's signed or do not have them at school, they can lose recess privileges for the day. We place great value on this method of communicating with you. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ~ read these nightly! We may need to let you know about a specific challenge your child faced that day or we may want to celebrate an act of kindness that your child did. Often we only have time to sign our name and draw a smiley face to indicate a good day for your child, but SOMETIMES we need to communicate a more urgent message. Expect to see these nightly! If your child doesn't have his/her agenda, please ask why. Thanks for helping us stay connected!
